I understand about the anxiety of leaving the pup at home while traveling. That feeling has kept me close to home for the 7+ years we've had Winnie. She's stayed with our friends for a few nights but nothing more than that. Or we just take her with us on vacation when we can. I'm getting up the courage to leave her with a sitter that we've known forever, to go on a longer trip. Must strap on the brave pants and do it!

I think you might keep this one! She’s so little you will barely know that she’s there 😆❤️

I confess - my first thought after cooing over her cuteness was, “they got a girl!” We, too, are girl dog parents. Of our seven dogs, only one was a boy, and oh boy, was Mac a handful. We loved him dearly, but went back to girls after we lost him. Also, I love the way you express yourself when writing about dogs - the love you have for them leaps off the page. Enjoy Hallie while you have her! ❤️🐾

oh my goodness… you are my new hero. i just started fostering dogs and volunteering at my local shelter in august and it has changed me in so many ways. ways i never knew i needed to / wanted to change. and i feel like such a crazy person because no one in my immediate sphere of friends and family has done anything like this, so i feel like no one really can understand what i am going through. i am completely obsessed with the brutal beauty this work is for me. thank you for doing what you do and for sharing your words and your heart with us all. woof ❤️
