"It wasn’t the excitement of kissing someone new, it was the excitement of kissing someone you never dreamed you’d get another chance with.". 😭❤️ I have no words
My now fiancé (!!!) and I broke up during the pandemic and were apart for about 6 months before he reached out and we rekindled things and I maintain that the break is the best thing that could have ever happened to us. We now know what life is like without each other and how great it is when we tackle it together. We are great communicators now and we are truly partners and best friends. We adopted a dog a year ago yesterday from a NJ rescue and it’s one of the best things we have ever done. Thank you for speaking out and normalizing breaks to work on ourselves to be better partners 💗
You know the author is talented when you already know (for the most part) the ending of the story, yet you’re hooked from the first line and feel like you’re living the experience with her!! This was so much fun to read. So happy for you guys and looking forward to part 3 of the podcast version of the story!! 👏🏻💚
"for our dog." that really hit.
🥹❤️

Somehow an even better feeling!
This may be your best yet! Such wonderful word choice and use of language. I felt like I was right there with you both. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this.

I love this story so much! I obviously relate - we needed that break to have the relationship we have now!

Absolutely phenomenal piece of writing!! As I’ve indicated before the imagery you write with is so on target. You go girl ❤️

Awww, so many good quotes in this one! But “our dog” melted me, seems like that one would make Jacob cry. 😩

Isabel!!! You need to write a book. This reminded me of Seven Days in June by Tia Williams.
So happy for you two and Simon!
I LOVE THAT BOOK!
