Hello my sweet, beautiful Substack family. I’ve missed you!

I wrote a note on Instagram a few weeks ago, but I have obviously taken a pause on writing. It’s hard to believe I started this blog exactly one year ago, when my entire world was flipped upside down.

Starting this blog was a leap of faith. I had no idea what I was going to do and what my next steps in life were going to be. I didn’t know where my next paycheck was going to come from. I was scared and hurt and truly believed I didn’t have anything of value to say or write about.

Overnight, you all proved me wrong.

I can still remember the adrenaline I felt watching the subscriber count go up, one by one. I was packing up my tiny studio apartment, surrounded by half empty boxes and piles of clothes. I remember realizing in that moment that I was going to be okay. I remember realizing that maybe, in some strange way, this was all meant to happen exactly the way it did.

This platform (and all of YOU) are the sole reason I was able to find my footing. You supported me when I needed you, and, most of all, you listened.

Since that fateful day a year ago, I’ve been able to: grow my personal brand, start fostering dogs again, find a job that lets me do exactly what I want to be doing, sign with a talent manager, move into my dream apartment, become (legal) domestic partners with my boyfriend, and buy a car.

It all fell into place, and I didn’t have to rush. I had a community who was there when I needed them. Who uplifted me when I was down and cheered me on when I was riding high. I don’t know what I’ve done to deserve such kind, loyal followers from all over the world, but man am I grateful for each and every one of you.

I’m OFFICIALLY committing to re-starting this space, and the structure is going to be slightly different (but not very, so don’t panic!). We will still do our weekly Wednesday posts, but instead of all podcast episodes being behind a pay wall, the fourth post of every month will be for paid subscribers only. This means that you’ll be able to access 3/4 totally free if you’d like!

I’m so excited to use this as a space to re-connect with all of you, and express myself in ways I don’t on TikTok and Instagram. Here’s to another year of change, growth, and dogs! Love you guys.
